It's December and I'm not sure how that happened. Time has flown past me since I entered the MTC. I'm tying up my 4th transfer, and my last transfer in Terre Haute. It's crazy! Christmas time is approaching!
This week we had a lot of interesting days! First of all, we've been doing a lot of service for this cool guy named Jason! He attends a different church, but knows a member of our stake presidency. They are good acquaintances, so he offered our assistance for a big project Jason was doing. The task is to set up a million lights for a big display at Deming Park. We have gone about 6 times to wrap light strands around PVC pipes. It was a lot of work, not knowing what the end product was going to be. Picture standing in the cold with rain coming down sideways wrapping lights with frozen hands. That's what we've done all week. It's supposed to be finished this week, so we have put a lot of time into it. The interesting part is it's for his church, but none of those members have helped. It's been him alone, with the assistance from a few friends and the missionaries. He noticed that we are always willing and able to help, so when we invited him and his friend, Ashton, to church, they accepted. Ashton is such a sweet girl! We have gotten along with her really well! They are the best! Lots of potential and a great relationship started!
Another thing is Thanksgiving! We ate at the Griffins. But before that we went to the church as a Zone to play basketball. Dinner was at 1, so we made our way there and ate with their family! After eating dinner, we went to Honey Creek middle school to play football. I was really nervous because I don't really get football, but it was so much fun! We enjoyed it a lot, and I even caught a touchdown pass! (: Definitely a tradition I agree with!
Multi-Zone Conference included a visit from Elder Marcus B Nash and his wife. Elder Nash spoke at the MTC when I was there. It was cool to hear from him again! I can't describe the spirit when a general authority enters the room. He walked in and any conversation completely dissipated. It was so cool. There aren't words to describe it. But I know from the spirit I felt yesterday that he is a man called of God to lead and guide us. I know the Priesthood was restored through Joseph Smith and we are so blessed to have in on the earth again. I'm grateful for blessings, specifically, patriarchal blessings. If you haven't read yours in a while, I would encourage you to read it! It gives me a sense of peace to remember my Father in Heaven really does know me personally. I love this gospel and I know we can find true happiness in it, if we are willing to search for it.
I love you all. Thank you for the support and prayers! Have a great week!

P.S. In Moroni 10:8, it talks about gifts we receive from God. As this Christmas season approaches, think of the gifts you receive from God. Whether they be temporal or spiritual, write them down. Then think of how you can help someone using that gift/talent. Using our gifts to help others is one of the best ways to improve our abilities and have a happy spirit! Pay it forward this year(:
