Okay, so this week was really great. I'm not going to talk about it though. I just want to talk about the sad moment when we had to say goodbye to President and Sister Cleveland. We had a meeting with all of them. When they spoke to us about enjoying the journey, it hit me that I have little time to be a missionary like this. My time, like everyone else's, is running down. I am so grateful for the service of my faithful mission president and his lovely wife. They have been wonderful blessings to me. As we took photos at the end, I did the wait around towards the end thing. When I finally took the picture, I just wanted to laugh and cry. It has been an amazing journey learning from these wonderful people. My life has been positively influenced by their loving guidance. I didn't think I could have more than the grandparents I already have, but somehow they have become like family.
What President Cleveland said about enjoying the journey and allowing ourselves to change into the person we were intended to be has stuck with me since Tuesday. This life is a time to prepare to meet God. We are constantly in the battle of making choices that affect the course of our journey. I've learned how crucial it is to "let the Holy Spirit guide" like in the hymn (#143). He will not lead us astray, but he will also not force us to take a path we do not want to take. It requires a lot of humility and faith to be impressed by the influence of the Holy Ghost.
So I had a picture of President Cleveland and Sister Cleveland with me, but... I left me camera at home, so I can't send it this week, but NEXT!! Anyway, till next time, I love you all! Keep doing good things and being nice to each other! <3
Love,
Sister Mondragon
PS We went on a nature walk, Indianans call it a hike, this morning for studies! It was so great. You might think we live on a tropical island, but we do not. Do not be confused by the luscious greenery and sparkling water generously abounding near us. HAHA
