WOW! This week was a great one! Perhaps our best yet! We saw so many miracles from faith and diligence. On Monday, our preparation day, we got three lessons and a potential new investigator! That never happens.
On Tuesday we met the most wonderful woman! WE parked in front of her house to tract, after about an hour we came back to find her checking out our car. She asked us to move it. There is a fair getting set up across from her house so people usually park there early but she is planning to rope it off (like at the Celebration) so she can actually use her driveway! Anyway, we were more than willing to move it, but the spirit prompted Sister Williams to ask if I could use her bathroom, cause I was gonna explode otherwise. She said yes and let us in her home. We ended up talking to her for about 40 minutes about how her little church is right next to our new building and a lot of her questions about Mormons. There was so much more we could've talked to her about but we couldn't stay longer, so we exchanged information. She said to call her to set up a time. Usually that doesn't happen, people say it to get us off their porch, but when we called her she answered and we are planning to meet with her tonight! She said "I think it will be cut and dry if I agree with your beliefs when we start talking about my questions" so.... PRAY THAT SHE RECEIVES ANSWERS SHE IS LOOKING FOR!
Also on Tuesday, our lovely old man Carl was ready and waiting for our appointment! It was such a surprise but we talked to him about the Restoration and he was agreeing with it all! So that was pretty sweet. #Miracles
On Wednesday, we exchanged with the Columbus 1 Sisters. Sister Gray was ill so we switched kind of weirdly.. I was with Sis Smith in the morning while Williams stayed in with Gray. Then We switched at lunch and she went to our area with Smith and I stayed with Gray. We eventually got out of the apartment cause she was feeling better after some Mama Mondragon Soup. We made cookies for their neighbor then sang to him. We went to visit a non-member and I got to play football with the boys and Dad of the family. Then I got to see them at church and I just love them. It was so fun throwing the football. They are also from Mexico, well the dad is, so I talked with him for a little while in Spanish. IT WAS GREAT.
On Thursday we planned our coming week then did Service at Bro and Sis Child's house! It was so fun! I love gardening. We kind of just showed up and asked if we could sit outside and garden for her. Guerilla service is the best.
Friday was pretty average. District meeting (with bi-district picnic lunch), lessons, and TRACTING! We were in a wealthy neighborhood and met a couple from Sweden. I don't know if this is common knowledge, but religion really isn't a thing in Sweden! At least from what he said to us. We talked for a while about it! I'm so grateful religion is a strong factor in my life. I'm grateful for my testimony!
Saturday was another exchange! I was in Indy 1st area With sister Hunter. Oh man. It was a DAY! We taught an English lesson and they were giving us cantaloupe... well Sister Hunter wasn't eating during the exchange, so I had to eat ALL of it. Funny thing is that is my least favorite fruit.. haha and it was a whole bowl. I did it though.. well most of it. I had to place a few pieces in my purse.. Oops. Then we got bashed at the first house we knocked on. It was awful. She talked to us for a while, but when we pulled out the Book of Mormon to share a scripture, she got scared and told us we didn't read the bible if we read the Book of Mormon. It was great. But the church is still true! Also, we had dinner with some non members who make chain mail armor. Check out the photos below!
Love,
Sister Mondragon <3
P.S. We went to the zoo. It was great. I love dolphins.
